National Board

I Have chosen to do the National Board Certification, so the blog has taken a hit, not that I posted that much before, and since I have learned to post to facebook having a fun time with that, and it takes forever for my pictures to get from my phone to the e-mail so I can post things.  National Board on the other hand takes up ever bit of free time, writing and then writing and then writing again, it will be over in May and then I take a test in June and then we find  out our results in November.  A very long but worthwhile process.

A Busy Month

We have been going a hundred miles an hour here.  First I took the kids to Disneyland for a quick trip so we could go see the new CARS area that California Adventure did.  Very awesome, Cayden however was not impressed with the one ride, we waited 2 hours to get on it, (in the heat no less) .  You start out going  through a tunnel that is dark and then the characters talk with you but it is real loud and for little ones it scares them. 

     We had bought tickets to go trick or treating at Disneyland with the "Villians" what an extremely organized and wonderful event.  The park closes and it is only available for those who have purchased tickets for the event.  They have trick or treating, a parade, fireworks and the villians that you don't normally see come out.  We left early Friday morning and by Saturday afternoon we were ready to come home so we did.  It was about a 6 hour drive.  We had a really good time.

Haircut

All children feel the need to cut their hair, not sure why. So we had to get it fixed. Who knew he loves the short do.

Hot Air Balloons

 

 

We took Cayden to see the hot air baloons in Glendale, last night. They are his favorite thing, from a distance, the fire really scares him. Does the slide no. We had to do it twice.

Using my yudu machine I made this pillow for my skull loving girlfriends birthday. At first I hated that machine and could not get it to work, but let me tell you if you read the directions and do as directed it will work. (DUH)

Its Been A Year

Its been a year of firsts. I don't think it has gotten any easier. We are all a year older, we all made it throug a birthday without you, and went through all the holidays. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and miss you terribly. CAYDEN is having a birthday party tomorrow; I wish you could be here to see him grow up.

Jewelry Thief

This is a horrible story, and all I can say is Karma will get this guy. My mother died almost a year ago. My father just returned from Oregon on Sunday where he spends the summers to get out of this god awful heat. He arrived home Sunday night, so Monday he took his car to the car wash to have it cleaned after traveling on the road from Oregon. He had put his wedding ring in a small compartment in the car. that closed. When he got home he checked and sure enough his ring was gone. He went back to the car wash and told them what happened. Dad knew who the guy was, he as the only one cleaning the inside, but he had left for the day. He told them he would be back in the morning, next day he goes back and of course the guy denies it. Tad to the car wash they had a thief and a liar working for them. He told the guy he would pay him for it. Of course he had to continue denying it. Dad called the police and filed a report. He also called Danny's corporate office which happens to be located here in Phoenix as it is a local company, and let them know. Of course the ring is gone, a pawn shop or a gold buyer. Makes me sick. Dad is handling it well. I know he is hurting inside. The car wash is Danny's on Tatum and just south of Shay. Don't think I will be going there, I would not recommend it either. This is the missing ring, on his hand.
